In this pivotal role, you will lead daily store operations, inspire your team, and deliver exceptional customer service. Your energetic approach and leadership skills will drive sales growth, ensure smooth inventory management, and foster a welcoming shopping environment. Duties Oversee daily store operations, ensuring all activities run efficiently and effectively Lead, motivate, and supervise team members to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new staff members to build a strong team Support payroll processing, bookkeeping, and cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity Utilize POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, pricing adjustments, and sales reporting Coordinate purchasing activities and manage vendor relationships to optimize inventory levels Supervise shift management, scheduling staff coverage to meet store demands while maintaining budget goals Implement marketing initiatives within the store to boost visibility and customer engagement Uphold health and safety standards while maintaining an organized and clean store environment Qualifications Proven experience in retail management or assistant management roles with supervisory responsibilities Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer interactions Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, POS systems, cashiering, and retail math Experience in negotiating with vendors or suppliers is advantageous Knowledge of merchandising techniques, pricing strategies, and promotional planning Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic bookkeeping tasks Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment Familiarity with employee orientation, training & development practices, and shift management principles Strong interpersonal skills including phone etiquette and customer service excellence Previous experience in grocery or general retail stores is desirable but not mandatory Join us as a Retail Assistant Manager where your enthusiasm fuels success!
