Job Description
The Performance Parts Retail Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue, customer engagement, and profitability within a performance parts retail environment. This role oversees sales operations, optimizes product assortment, and ensures customers receive expert guidance on highperformance, racing, and aftermarket components.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Revenue GrowthDevelop strategies to increase sales of performance parts, accessories, and aftermarket upgrades.
Set sales targets for the team and track progress using KPIs.
Create promotions, merchandising plans, and seasonal campaigns to maximize revenue.
Drive conversion from online leads, walkin customers, and phone inquiries.
Customer Engagement & Product ExpertiseProvide expert guidance on performance parts-engine components, suspension, exhaust, tuning, forced induction, etc.
Resolve escalated customer issues and maintain high customer satisfaction scores.
Conduct product demos, workshops, or community engagement events (cars & coffee, track days, etc.).Team Management & TrainingAssist in recruitment, training, and mentor retail sales staff at dealers.
Conduct regular coaching sessions to strengthen product knowledge and sales techniques.
Ensure team members stay current on new performance products and technologies.
Inventory, Merchandising & Vendor CoordinationManage inventory levels for highdemand SKUs and seasonal performance categories.
Work closely with purchasing teams and suppliers to optimize product mix.
Ensure proper merchandising, signage, and displays that highlight key performance items.
Retail Operations & ProfitabilityMonitor margins, product profitability, and overall financial performance of the product portfolio.
Implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency for dealers who sell performance productsMarketing & Community BuildingSupport marketing campaigns, social media content, and digital promotions.
Engage with local car clubs, racing organizations, and enthusiasts to grow brand presence.
Host events that promote performance culture and drive store traffic.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree5 or more years of experience in automotive retail, aftermarket performance parts, or motorsports salesStrong knowledge of performance upgrades, tuning, and racing componentsProven leadership and teammanagement skillsExcellent communication, customer service, and sales abilitiesStrong analytical skills with experience using sales reports and inventory systemsAbility to work evenings/weekends as required by retail schedule
