Sun Coating Company is looking for a hands-on Shop Supervisor to join our leadership team. We aren't looking for someone to just sit in an office; we need a "player-coach" who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty while mastering our specialized processes. This is a high-impact role designed for someone who wants to bridge the gap between technical execution and operations management.

The Mission:

Learn, Lead, and Level Up Your journey starts with a deep dive. Before you manage the workflow, you'll master the craft. Phase 1: Total immersion in our process. You'll learn the art of Sandblasting and Spray-coating to understand the "why" behind what we do. Phase 2: Transition into managing shop workflow, optimizing schedules, and driving process development. Phase 3: Full operational oversight, leading by example, and maintaining the high standards Sun Coating is known for.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Shop Stewardship:

Take the keys and own the space. This includes opening/closing and ensuring the shop remains organized, clean, and efficient.

Mechanical Oversight:

Keep the engine humming. You'll handle day-to-day maintenance / repairs on sandblasters, ovens, conveyors, air compressors, and light-duty electrical systems.

Vendor Management:

Coordinate and schedule specialized maintenance with outside vendors when needed.

Digital Integration:

Use your proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems to keep our data accurate and up to date.

Table The Experience:

You've spent years in a shop environment and have a proven track record in a supervisory or lead role.

The Mindset:

You possess strong mechanical aptitude and a "fix-it" mentality.

The Tech:

You're comfortable navigating ERP software and the Microsoft Suite.

The Grit:

You're willing to be hands-on with sandblasting and coating while keeping the "big picture" of shop workflow in mind.

Schedule & Compensation Hours:

To be finalized. Current production hours run from 7am-3:30pm but can vary depending on customer needs and workload.
