Assistant Retail Sales Manager / Skills Trainer Join the Team at Services To Enhance Potential (STEP) Services To Enhance Potential is seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Retail Sales Manager / Skills Trainer to support daily retail store operations while helping provide meaningful training and employment opportunities for individuals receiving services. Position Details

        Reports To:
        Retail Sales Manager Qualifications
        • High school diploma or equivalent required; college business training preferred.
        • One (1) year retail sales experience required.
        • One (1) year supervisory experience required.
        • Thrift/resale experience preferred.
        • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
        • Valid Michigan Driver's License with Chauffeur's endorsement required.
        • Must be insurable through STEP's insurance carrier. Principal Function
        • Assumes select responsibilities of the Retail Sales Manager during their absence and assists in overseeing daily store operations, staff coordination, inventory management, customer relations, and skills training activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
        • Perform Skills Trainer duties as needed.
        • Support daily retail store operations.
        • Maintain operational and financial records and reports.
        • Monitor inventory handling and loss prevention procedures.
        • Assist with budgeting, expense monitoring, and cost controls.
        • Coordinate store maintenance and security procedures.
        • Ensure proper handling of cash, credit card transactions, and financial information.
        • Build positive relationships with customers, donors, staff, and consumers.
        • Address customer concerns professionally and promptly.
        • Assist with staff scheduling and coordination of store truck runs.
        • Participate in interviewing, hiring, and disciplinary processes.
        • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
        • Assist with safety procedures and staff training.
        • Prepare and submit required reports and documentation on time.
        • Provide personal care assistance as needed.
        • Maintain a personal vehicle for work-related duties.
        • Follow all STEP policies and procedures. Additional Responsibilities
        • Participate in STEP committees and meetings.
        • Assist with volunteer, trainee, and student supervision.
        • Represent STEP within the community.
        • Promote employment, volunteer, and community opportunities for consumers.
        • Provide support coverage for other positions as needed.
        • Perform additional duties assigned by the Retail Sales Manager. What We're Looking For

        Pay:
        From $19.65 per hour
