Manager on Duty - evenings and weekends

Responsible for overseeing store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth processes, and maintaining high standards of customer service and safety.

Key duties and expectations include:

Primary Responsibilities:

Supervise store operations, addressing and troubleshooting any unusual situations or crises that arise. Ensure store and department policies are followed. Support the onboarding and training of new employees; provide input on staff performance. Carry out store opening and closing procedures, including following all security and safety protocols. Respond promptly to customer needs and handle complaints or special situations professionally. Display exemplary customer service, ensuring all staff members uphold standards. Assist with inventory counts and communicate with department managers as needed. Oversee equipment maintenance and address issues to prevent unnecessary service calls.

Qualifications and Skills:

Strong leadership and communication abilities. Experience in retail or grocery settings preferred. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Capacity to handle conflict and mediate disputes effectively.

Other Expectations:

Act as a liaison between staff and upper management during assigned shifts. Maintain store security and document incidents thoroughly. Attend required department and all-store meetings. This part-time role involves evening, weekend, or holiday shifts, and is key to ensuring consistent, quality store operations when senior management is not present.
