  • 7 hours per day straight shift between 6:30am

Ranging from $23.81
  • $24.
78 per hour, plus $1.00 per hour when working split shifts

Qualifications:
BA degree in related field or equivalent combination of experience and education Knowledge of and commitment to Community Education mission Demonstrated customer and human relations skills Demonstrated employment experience in school-age child care Demonstrated ability to accurately assess and serve a variety of individuals with diverse needs Ability to work independently and prioritize work assignments Demonstrated writing, planning, computer and organizational skills Reports to: Kids Club Inclusion Specialist & Asst. Coordinator/Coordinator
Job Goals:
Coordinate and oversee all day-to-day operations of the site-based school age child care, while offering guidance and support to staff working with students with disabilities and those at risk.
Performance Responsibilities:
Promote and communicate a positive image of Centennial Schools and the Community Education department with internal and external customers and assist in program marketing. Supervise support staff including effectively training, evaluating and having regular meetings with inclusion staff, as needed. Serve as an active member of a self-directed work team overseeing site-based day-to-day special needs operations of school age child care program. Maintain current First Aid and CPR Provide leadership to staff and children and interact with them in a caring, positive, supportive and respectful manner on a daily basis. Share the responsibilities with support staff to build a team concept. Design and maintain a safe and stimulating environment and determine effective use of facilities and equipment, including accommodating space needs for other preplanned school and Community Education functions Establish and maintain good communication with parents through informal discussions, and individual conferences when needed. Follow through as necessary. Accommodate all special needs issues effectively and appropriately, using students' IEP/504 as your guide. Monitor children in their environment and provide guidance on diverse needs and at-risk concerns. Address discipline issues appropriately as outlined in the Kids Club Family Handbook. Keep program records and reports for Kids Club Inclusion Coordinator. Attend scheduled meetings Observe children with special needs in their environment Assist in writing and implementing inclusion plans and create picture schedules for students with special needs. Mentor, train and offer recommendations to other staff in regards to serving students with special needs. Perform other related functions or additional duties as assigned by Kids Club Coordinators, the Director of Community Education or other designated representatives.
