Job Description
Pacifier | Twin Cities, MN Pacifier is a locally owned specialty baby boutique with four Twin Cities locations and a growing e-commerce business. We're passionate about helping families through thoughtfully curated products, expert guidance, and a welcoming customer experience. We are seeking a hands-on, people-focused Director of Stores to develop high-performing teams, lead store operations, and drive business results across all locations. This role partners closely with the owner to support growth, elevate the customer experience, and build strong operational systems and team culture. Key Areas of Responsibility Customer Experience Provide best-in-class, personalized customer service across all store locations Lead by example in delivering welcoming, high-quality customer interactions Coach store teams on selling skills, customer engagement, and deep product knowledge Recognize and resolve escalated customer and performance concerns Leverage customer feedback and insights to improve the business and customer experience Ensure stores consistently reflect Pacifier's curated and welcoming brand standards Team & Culture Development Recruit, hire, onboard, manage and develop Store Managers Build a high-performance culture focused on engagement, learning, accountability, service, and results Ensure strong staffing coverage plans for PTO, parental leave, and staffing emergencies Assess and implement tools and processes that support effective store coverage and communication Create and lead ongoing training and coaching programs across sales, product knowledge, operations, and customer experience Develop scalable training materials and repeatable processes that support consistency across all stores Operational Excellence Ensure operational excellence and visual merchandising standards are consistently executed Support inventory balancing, merchandising, stock rebalancing, and seasonal planning Drive labor optimization through effective staffing and scheduling strategies Improve systems, processes, and tools that support store efficiency and scalability Maintain strong organization, execution, and follow-through across all store operations Support stores in creating efficient and effective day-to-day operations while maintaining an elevated customer experience Business Performance & Growth Partner with owner to establish goals, priorities, and growth strategies Monitor and drive key business metrics including sales, labor, inventory, and profitability Hold self and store leadership accountable for achieving performance goals and executing initiatives Analyze business trends and identify opportunities for operational and financial improvement Support growth initiatives, process improvements, and business scalability Lead teams to achieve results while maintaining exceptional customer service and team culture
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of retail leadership Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and organizational skills Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead high-performing teams Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and business acumen Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution Adaptable, curious, and solutions-oriented Passion for customer experience, team development, and small business growth Ability to stand for long periods and lift 40lbs Why Pacifier?
