Assistant Store Manager- Kay Jewelers

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service. You will play a key role in managing staff, inventory, and store performance while maintaining a positive shopping environment for our customers. Duties Assist in managing daily store operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive team environment. Handle employee orientation, training & development, and performance evaluations. Oversee inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and merchandising products. Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate bookkeeping practices. Implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales goals while maintaining retail math accuracy. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding customer service and store management. Engage in recruiting efforts to attract top talent for the store. Conduct interviews and assist with employee onboarding processes. Maintain effective communication with team members regarding promotions, pricing changes, and inventory control. Skills Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and supervising staff. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and employees. Proficient in negotiation techniques to resolve conflicts and drive sales. Knowledge of retail management practices including POS systems, cash handling, and payroll processes. Familiarity with inventory control methods and retail math principles. Ability to multitask effectively while managing time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in merchandising strategies that enhance product visibility and sales performance. Strong organizational skills to maintain store operations smoothly.
