Your primary role is to provide exceptional customer service while accurately processing transactions, managing food and retail sales, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases, whether food, beverages, or retail items. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales quickly and accurately. Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and register balancing at shift end. Prepare food orders accurately when required, supporting kitchen staff with food preparation and food safety standards. Upsell menu items or retail products to enhance customer experience and increase sales revenue. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the register area, including cashier stations, counters, and surrounding spaces. Support food handling procedures, including bussing tables or clearing counters as needed in a quick service or café setting. Skills Proven experience in food service, cashiering, or retail environments with strong customer service skills. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction processing. Knowledge of food preparation, handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations. Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining accuracy. Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math calculations. Strong communication skills to assist customers effectively and collaborate with team members. Previous experience in quick service restaurants or grocery stores is highly desirable for success in this role.
