Full Job Description Description:
The Assistant Store Manager is a key leadership role responsible for assisting the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to manage and motivate a team. The Assistant Store Manager is expected to contribute to a positive customer service environment, ensuring efficient operations and achieving sales goals. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing various store initiatives while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies. Requires open availability including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow. Supervise and train store associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise. Implement and maintain store standards for cleanliness, organization, and customer service. Utilize Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel for reporting, analysis, and communication. Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints, providing excellent customer service. Contribute to the development and implementation of store strategies to achieve sales targets. Demonstrate leadership by example, motivating and guiding the team to achieve goals. Handle administrative functions, including paperwork, filing, and other clerical works.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated leadership experience in a retail or grocery environment. Working knowledge of store operations, including inventory management and customer service principles. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and employees. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree in business administration or a related field. Previous experience in a supervisory role within a grocery store setting. Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems. Familiarity with local and state health and safety regulations. .
