President/Owner Role Overview We are seeking a high-energy, "owner-operator" minded Retail Store Manager to lead our flagship retail location. This isn't a "sit behind the desk" job. You will be the face of our brand, responsible for everything from the premium presentation of our wild-caught Alaskan seafood to the operational efficiency of our meal kit displays. You will lead a small, dedicated team with a focus on education-based selling, ensuring every customer leaves with the best seafood in Montana and the knowledge to cook it perfectly. Key Responsibilities 1. Sales & Growth Leadership Drive daily retail sales to meet and exceed monthly revenue targets. Lead "high-touch" customer service, educating guests on the benefits of wild-caught vs. farmed seafood. Coordinate and represent the brand at local events, expos, and farmers' markets to expand our local footprint. Implement and manage in-store promotions and seasonal "Captain's Reserve" or "Five Star Sampler" launches. 2.
Operational Excellence Inventory & Procurement:
Manage stock levels, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure we never run out of core staples like Sockeye Salmon or King Crab.
Facility Standards:
Maintain a "tour-ready" facility. You are responsible for the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising.
HACCP & Safety:
Enforce strict food safety protocols and maintain documentation to ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations. 3. Team Management & Accountability Oversee a team of 1-3 retail associates, managing scheduling and performance. Foster a culture of accountability and process improvement. Train staff on product knowledge, including new meal kit lines like Glacier Meals.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
3+ years in retail management, preferably in food/beverage or specialty grocery.
Mentality:
An "Owner-Operator" mindset—you take pride in the store's success and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves for hands-on work.
Knowledge:
Passion for high-quality food and sustainable sourcing. Previous experience with seafood or meat-cutting is a plus but not required.
Skills:
Proficiency in retail POS systems (Shopify), inventory management, and basic digital marketing (Meta/Klaviyo experience is a bonus).
Physical:
Ability to work in a cold-storage environment and lift up to 50 lbs (frozen seafood cases).
Compensation & Benefits Base Pay:
Starting at $21.00 per hour .
Performance Bonus:
Up to $950 per month based on hitting specific sales, labor cost, and operational KPIs.
Potential Compensation:
~$43,500 in hourly wage potential + bonus potential of $11,400 annually.
