Job Summary:
The Floor Supervisor is responsible for assisting with training, leading, and directing the work of employees to ensure the smooth operation of the store. The Supervisor is actively involved in providing excellent customer service and handling customer service calls. The Supervisor is responsible for Impacting Lives Always and creating a work environment in which employees can Impact Lives Always, too.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Helps to oversee the daily workflow of the Sales Floor. Monitors the radio to ensure all calls are answered and communicates with the team about customer calls. Continuously checks in with employees on the floor and knows what they are working on. Provides training and support to employees. Assists with training employees on products, services, and customer service standards. Provides on-the-spot training, coaching, and redirection to employees when necessary. Assigns work to employees during their shift. If they have performed their expected duties, the supervisor will assign them to work in another part of the store. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provides a high level of customer service in all areas of the store by walking around the store. Answers customer service calls. Works with the Rental Department and offers assistance for customer needs in Rental. Provides department maintenance including cleaning, straightening, and detailing of merchandise. Stock merchandise to the shelf accurately. Addresses customer complaints and resolves problems to restore and promote good public relations. Assists cashier and stocking teams. Meet with the floor leader at the beginning of each shift to share necessary information. Perform opening and closing duties as required. Hold a brief huddle each night before closing duties commence to discuss closing duties. Ensures a safe work environment for all customers and employees. Adheres to health and safety regulations and promotes a culture of safety. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to outstanding customer service Proven sales aptitude with a track record of achieving results Superior organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail Effective time‑management capabilities with consistent on‑time delivery Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving proficiency Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience Ability to prioritize responsibilities and delegate tasks appropriately Capacity to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, occasionally high‑pressure environment Proficiency with Google Workspace and related software, with the ability to quickly learn additional company tools
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous supervisor/leadership in retail sales and customer service is required. General knowledge of hardware and outdoor power equipment is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires prolonged periods of standing, walking, lifting, bending, stretching, and kneeling. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
