Assistant Produce Manager

```Duties```

• Oversee the daily operations of the produce department
• Ensure that the department is properly stocked with fresh and high-quality produce
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
• Create and implement strategies to maximize sales and profitability
• Train and supervise produce department staff
• Conduct employee orientation and provide ongoing training and development
• Schedule and assign tasks to team members
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized department
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints ```Skills```

• Budgeting:

  Ability to manage department budgets, track expenses, and optimize profitability

• Supervising:

  Experience in supervising and leading a team of employees

• Communication:

  Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, employees, and vendors

• Marketing:

  Knowledge of marketing techniques to promote products and increase sales

• Employee Orientation:

  Ability to onboard new employees, provide training, and ensure compliance with company policies

• Assistant Manager:

  Previous experience in an assistant manager role is preferred

• Team Management:

  Proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team to achieve goals

• Cash Handling:

  Proficiency in handling cash transactions accurately and securely
• POS (Point of Sale)

Systems:

Familiarity with operating a POS system for sales transactions•

Interviewing:

Skill in conducting interviews to hire qualified candidates for open positions
