Position Overview :
The Lamination Team Lead is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily operations within the lamination department. This position ensures that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with quality and safety standards. As the primary point of contact for the team, the Lamination Team Lead guides, mentors, and trains team members while collaborating closely with the Project Lead to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist the Project Lead with rolling out new parts to employees. Ensure new team members receive comprehensive training on assigned project parts. Provide coaching and supervision to team members. Facilitate operational processes and support continuous improvement efforts. Ensure adherence to established procedures, including Lamination Best Practices and SOPs, and promptly report any discrepancies. Verify that all documentation—such as checklists and ply books—is accurate, complete, and consistently used. Assist with material inventory control and monitoring. Help minimize material waste by identifying improper usage and notifying the Project Lead of any scrap/waste for proper capture in GSS. Collaborate with the Project Lead in monitoring and controlling quality. Periodically review parts post-demolding for quality assurance and address any concerns. Coach team members on resolving quality issues and report any cost of poor-quality concerns. Support efforts to maintain a clean and organized workspace, reinforcing cleaning procedures as necessary. Promote a respectful work environment by reporting any improper behaviors to the Lamination Manager. Ensure that all team members adhere to PPE requirements, reporting violations and reinforcing compliance. Provide input on employee performance evaluations and offer suggestions to enhance efficiency. Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety, health, and environmental practices by adhering to all relevant policies and reporting any hazards. Team :
Bring a minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in composites lamination. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook) for effective communication and data management. Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear and confident interactions with colleagues and cross-functional teams. Cultivate a teamwork environment that prioritizes collective success and support over competition. Maintain a positive, can-do attitude with exemplary attendance, contributing to a high-energy work environment. Adapt to dynamic production schedules and shifting priorities, consistently meeting deadlines. Hours of Operation:
Normal business hours: 1st Shift 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 2nd Shift 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM; Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays as scheduled by leadership.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
