Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated Retail Store Shift Lead to join our dynamic team! As a key leader on the floor, you will oversee daily store operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and support sales growth. Your role will involve supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all shoppers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop leadership skills while contributing to a thriving retail environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and passionate about delivering outstanding retail experiences. Duties Supervising sales associates and cashiers during the shift Opening and/or closing the store Handling cash registers, deposits, and cash reconciliation Providing excellent customer service and resolving customer concerns Delegating tasks and ensuring employees complete assigned work Training and coaching new team members Monitoring sales floor activity and maintaining store standards Stocking shelves, merchandising products, and organizing displays Managing inventory, receiving shipments, and reducing shrink/loss Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and security standards Assisting with scheduling and shift coverage when needed Supporting store owner with daily operational reports and performance goals Skills Leadership and team supervision Customer service Communication and conflict resolution Cash handling and basic math Problem-solving and decision-making Time management and multitasking Retail sales experience Experience Previous supervisory or assistant lead experience in retail or grocery store settings is highly preferred. Strong management skills with proven success in team leadership and store operations. Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers. Familiarity with retail math, sales management, inventory management systems, and POS technology. Demonstrated ability in employee orientation, training & development, and payroll processing. Experience with merchandising, stocking, marketing initiatives, and retail math calculations.
