Job Description
Job Summary The Store Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of operations for a fast-paced, high volume duty-free retail store and/or boutique. Essential Functions 1. Manage day to day store operations which includes; performing store opening and/or closing procedures, work schedule assignments, inform managers of any customer/associate issues or complaints, ensure compliance of U.S. Customs Regulations and company policies and procedures. 2. Assist in sales training of associates by demonstrating outstanding sales skills, product knowledge information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise and advertisements. 3. Effectively recommend discipline and opportunities for advancement of associates. 4. Ensure customers receive outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer and handling inquires in a professional manner. 5. Assist customers in sales function by identifying and fulfilling customer needs, up-sells and add-on purchasing. 6. Ensure packages are delivered in a timely manner and report any issues with deliveries. 7. Assist in processing and replenishing merchandise as well as management of inventory. 8. Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and light store housekeeping. 9. Adhere to Company policies, procedures and practices including pricing, U.S. Customs regulations and loss prevention. 10. STEB bag control and maintenance. 11. Performs other duties as required. Competencies 1. Regular and reliable attendance. Flexibility and ability to work varied hours/days as business needs dictate. 2. Ability to speak and hear effectively with customers, vendors and/or associates of the organization. 3. Ability to read efficiently, perform basic mathematical functions (count, add, subtract, divide & multiply) and write to accurately complete work related documentation. 4. Comprehension of cash handling (denominations of monies to make change). 5. Vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Professional retail sales environment with minimal privacy utilizing standard retail sales/inventory equipment; with a medium to high noise level and with occasional exposure to elements such as dust fumes, noise and odor. Physical Demands 1. Physical demands include frequently standing for long periods of time; walking; ability to reach above or below shoulders, twist at the waist, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, climb and balance. 2. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. 3. Ability to operate electronic equipment (P.O.S., Credit Card Verification etc.) and use equipment (manual) such as ladder, step stool, objects with wheels, spray bottles and other cleaning equipment necessary to perform job functions.Required / Preferred
Education & Experience 1. No experience necessary, preferable experience in a retail customer service environment. 2. High School Graduate, G.E.D. 3. Ability to work well under pressure and time restraints. 4. Excellent interpersonal skills, adjust to variety of cultural personalities.
