Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Stays within the annual budget for Grocery Department in coordination with the Store Manager 2. Follows the Manager's Code of Conduct 3. Ensures that the Co-op's policies and procedures are enforced and administered in a timely fashion and recommends any changes warranted 4. Orchestrates the daily functions of the Grocery Department as needed 5. Responsible for Grocery inventory, ordering and vendor relations 6. Responsible for stocking and merchandising all department areas 7. Works with Grocery Manager to ensure proper signage and clean, attractive displays and cases 8. Conducts or oversees regular meetings and huddles with Grocery Department in the absence of the Grocery Manager 9. Maintains Grocery Department sanitation procedures and ensures compliance with governmental regulations 10. Monitors and works with Supervisors on rotation of product to ensure product freshness 11. Ensures highest level of customer service Additional Information Help for Additional Information.
Qualifications Required Skills/Experience and Attributes:
1. High school diploma or equivalent 2. One year of supervisory experience 3. Ability to represent the Co-op in a positive manner 4. Two plus years and knowledge of local growers and product 5. Ability to multi-task 6. Proficiency in
ECRS POS
system and processes 7. Set an excellent example for new employees 8. Proficiency in use of computer software, Office 365, Excel and Word 9. Serve Safe certification, or ability to obtain certification within 6 months 10. Excellent follow through
Attendance Requirements:
