Job Summary:
The Lead Medical Receptionist position is located on the main campus of Englewood Hospital in a fast-paced surgery office with multiple providers. The Lead MR handles a variety of tasks which includes but is not limited to: greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing patient paperwork, delivering records to other departments, routing phone calls to other staff and providers, and actively using the hospital EMR (Epic). The Lead MR will manage the flow of patients from the waiting area to exam rooms to ensure efficient use of the physician's time. The Lead MR must be professional, proactive, flexible and courteous at all times. The Lead MR will supervise the MR staff and manage office workflows, ensuring that processes are streamlined and efficient. Training new staff and cross covering other suites is also essential to this role.

Job Essentials:
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies. Minimum three years' of registration or related clerical/health care experience required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with professional appearance. Ability to function independently. Clerical, data entry and typing skills including filing and record keeping required. Basic computer skills required. Ability to work in a fast paced environment that has frequent changes in priorities. Flexibility and ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. Ability to complete needed tasks with speed and accuracy. Knowledge of medical terminology. Post high school courses in insurance billing, data processing and medical terminology preferred. One year of prior experience in billing of third-party insurances for facility and professional services required. Knowledge of third-party billing requirements. Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions and perform basic arithmetic calculations in order to prepare, review and submit bills to Third Party Payers. Knowledge of current federal and state billing regulations.
Education Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree preferred. Englewood Health job postings provide a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.
