Experience Required:
Minimum 1 year Previous experience in packing at The UPS Store for 1 year, with reference check available for previous employment. Key Responsibilities & Sales Duties
Customer Engagement & Sales:
Greet customers, identify their needs, and offer customized solutions (e.g., advising on shipping speed vs. cost, recommending print products).
Upselling/Cross-selling:
Proactively suggest additional products or services, such as packing materials, insurance (declared value), or premium printing services.
Print Services:
Actively promote and assist with document printing, binding, laminating, and scanning services.
Mailbox Sales:
Promote and manage mailbox rentals for small businesses and residential customers.
- Point of Sale (POS): Accurately record sales transactions, process payments (cash, credit), and handle returns/exchanges using the POS system.
Shipping & Packing:
Expertly pack items for shipment to ensure safety and accurately process shipments, including international and freight shipping.
Store Merchandising:
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked retail area to encourage impulse buys of shipping and office supplies.
Goal Tracking:
Meet or exceed personal and store-wide key performance indicators (KPIs). Requirements & Qualifications
Experience:
1-2 years of previous retail sales, consultative sales, or customer service experience preferred.
Sales Skills:
Proven ability to up-sell and cross-sell, with a proactive "customer-first" attitude.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and POS systems; ability to learn printing software.
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with customers and assisting with complex, custom print or shipping jobs. Multilingualism is a plus.
Education:
High school diploma or GED. Preferred Skills
- Prior print production or graphic design experience.
- Notary Public commission (or willingness to obtain).
