The Liquor Department Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of liquor department operations, including merchandising, inventory management, team leadership, customer service, and financial performance. This role partners closely with Merchandising, Procurement, Marketing, Operations, and store leadership to ensure strong execution, maximize sales and profitability, and deliver a best-in-class customer experience. This role is ideal for experienced liquor managers, beverage leaders, department managers, or retail operations professionals looking to lead a high-performing department within a dynamic retail environment. What You'll Do:
Lead all day-to-day liquor department operations, including merchandising, inventory, pricing, and customer service Manage inventory levels, ordering, and replenishment to ensure strong in-stock conditions while minimizing shrink and loss Drive sales growth through promotional programs, merchandising initiatives, events, and product recommendations Train, coach, and develop department associates to improve product knowledge, customer engagement, and operational performance Ensure compliance with all liquor regulations, licensing requirements, and company standards Monitor sales performance, analyze financial results, and implement strategies to improve profitability Maintain a clean, safe, and organized department environment for customers and associates Stay informed on beverage trends and emerging products to enhance assortment and customer experience What We're Looking For:
Experience in retail management, liquor operations, or beverage leadership Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and liquor industry trends Proven ability to manage inventory, drive sales, and improve department profitability Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Knowledge of liquor laws, regulations, and responsible alcohol sales practices Why Join Village Super Market?
