to make pets healthy and happy every single day. About the Role We're looking for a strong retail leader and contributor who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-first environment. As a Floating / Second Manager, you will support multiple stores, drive results, and help develop high-performing teams. This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are the same—and where accountability, sales ability, and initiative are essential. You also may be considered for a store manager position if you have right experience and skills.

What You'll Do Drive Sales:
Use consultative selling skills to recommend products, educate customers, and close sales—consistently meeting store and personal goals.
Customer Experience:
Deliver exceptional service—every customer, every time. Treat visiting dogs with treats and make their humans smile.
Lead & Support:
Support operations across 2-3 stores, partnering closely with Store Managers to ensure performance and consistency.
Team Development:
Train, mentor, and hold team members accountable for product knowledge, selling techniques, and results.
Operations Management:
Oversee merchandising, inventory, ordering, receiving deliveries, and maintaining high store standards.
Grooming Oversight:
Help manage grooming schedules and team operations in Chester and Livingston locations.
Community Engagement:
Participate in local outreach, store events, and marketing initiatives.
Analytics & Reporting:
Use Excel and other tools to track performance, analyze results, and drive improvements. Training & Professional Development Every employee receives structured, in-depth training in canine and feline nutrition , including clinical nutrition management .
You will be expected to:
Develop professional-level expertise in pet nutrition Confidently guide customers through complex dietary needs Continuously build knowledge and apply it in sales conversations This is a core requirement of the job , not optional.
What We're Looking For Retail Leadership:
Minimum 3 years of retail management experience
Sales Strength:
Proven ability (or clear potential) in consultative selling and closing
Accountability:
Takes ownership of results and drives outcomes without being micromanaged
Pet Passion:
Love dogs (and ideally cats) and interest in their health and nutrition
Tech Skills:
Microsoft Office, POS systems, and basic computer proficiency
Physical Ability:
Stand up to 9 hours and lift 30 lb bags
Mindset:
High energy, urgency, initiative, and a "get-it-done" attitude
Stability:
Solid work history and looking for a long-term role The Pay, Hours & Benefits Standard week is 45 hours (which is 40 hours +5 hours overtime), up to 50 hours when needed The pay is a combination of hourly pay; overtime pay and sales bonuses Rate depends on your experience Sales bonuses based on the performance of the stores you work and your contribution.
