The Site Leader is responsible for providing leadership, direction oversight and management of all aspects of the operations to attain operational excellence and to achieve financial objectives and goals in accordance with KDC's Strategic Plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Partners with Commercial Team to ensure opportunities for profitable growth are advanced while driving a program of Continuous improvement using tools such as lean principles. Designs, develops and implements performance management processes to effectively monitor projects and deliver results that exceed expectations. Collaborates with others and builds local strategies and business plans that support the company's goals and objectives communicates plans and strategies and ensures understanding by team members; develops annual operating plan that contributes to overall strategic direction of the company. Achieves manufacturing excellence by promoting and supporting Continuous Improvement initiatives in all operational and manufacturing processes, fostering a dynamic culture of change and evolution, with the goal of extracting maximum profitability while maintaining best-in-class quality and safety standards; ensures site deploys modern and progressive methods, processes, and tools related to productivity, efficiency, and quality of production. Collaborates with the KDC Commercial Team to partner actively with key customers, driving business and a consistent customer experience through a constant focus on delivering exceptional customer service, innovation, and opportunities for clients to differentiate themselves in the marketplace relative to their competitors. Works to understand entire cycle of manufacturing operations and makes required changes to achieve aggressive opportunities for operating and cost efficiencies. Reviews and evaluates the operational performance on a continuing basis and establish measures of performance, executing action plans to correct issues and achieve key performance objectives regarding retention, engagement, safety, quality, environmental, maintenance and manufacturing. Develops and implements rigorous processes for reviewing and evaluating performance in order to consistently benchmark performance against stated goals and objectives. Builds and develops a strong team employing a performance-based management system: develops and implements a succession plan to ensure ongoing stability and evaluates and mentors managers transparently and regularly. Provides leadership, motivation and direction to all employees to ensure performance expectations and department objectives are met according to established standards; manages performance expectations and delivers feedback while providing mentorship and developing leaders. Completes employee performance reviews, preliminary budgetary information, customer presentations and business reviews and other paperwork according to established company policy. Maintains confidentiality of employee personnel records and salary information; customer information and other sensitive and confidential information. Exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of the normal schedule as needed due to workplace demands (e.g. supporting off-shifts). Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Business Management or a related field is required. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a customer focused sector within an FDA regulated/OTC environment (personal care, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food manufacturing); previous experience in contract manufacturing is strongly preferred. Minimum of 10 years previous leadership experience. Previous experience in leading an operation in a high-volume/low-cost manufacturing environment with a proven track record of improving performance is strongly preferred.

FDA Good Manufacturing Practices and OSHA Safety Requirements; Consumer Packaged Goods industry.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Must be able to occasionally lift to 25 pounds manually. A climate-controlled office environment; the noise level is usually moderately quiet; however the individual will be required to spend long periods of time on the production floor where the noise level is loud. Must be able to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer, stand and walk for long periods of time while on the manufacturing and warehouse floor, use hands to handle and feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, crouch, talk, hear, push and pull.
