Job Description

Assistant Manager Albuquerque, NM 87112 $20 an hour - Full-time $20 an hour - Full-time Los Cuates is known as a fast paced, locally owned company with a long-standing reputation in the community of being family oriented, for over 40 years. Our restaurant prides itself in offering employment with a strong management team with well trained, knowledgeable staff. We are currently in need of an Assistant Manager to assist our General Manager in all aspects of our business. Your responsibilities will include delivering a high-quality menu daily and motivating our staff to provide excellent customer service. Assistant Manager responsibilities include maintaining the restaurant's revenue, profitability and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operations, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. To be successful in this role, you will need prior management skills and experience in both front and back of the house. You must be efficient overseeing the restaurant and checking in on guests. Back of the house management experience is essential, as you'll hire qualified Cooks and Wait Staff, help set work schedules, oversee food prep and make sure we comply with health and safety restaurant regulations. We'll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and guests have pleasant dining experiences. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working in a busy restaurant environment and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively. This position requires open availability. Minimum 40 hours a week required. Full benefits upon completion of probationary period. You must have an up-to-date Alcohol Serving license and have your food handlers certificate. Must have experience with line cooking. Reliable transportation is a requirement. Being bilingual is a plus. Other pay options such as salary with a minimum of 54 hours per week are available if candidate meets requirements in interview. Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
  • Deliver superior service and maximize guest satisfaction
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to any guest complaints
  • Regularly review product quality
  • Organize and supervise shifts
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
  • Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • Manage restaurant's good image and suggest ways to improve it
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Compile detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
  • Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events
  • Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads)
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices Skills
  • Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager or Restaurant Assistant Manager
  • Proven customer service experience as a Assistant Manager
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software, like Aloha
  • Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
