Store Managers play a critical role in driving store performance, developing teams, maintaining compliance, and creating an exceptional customer experience while supporting the continued growth of one of New Mexico's leading cannabis companies. This position is ideal for leaders who thrive in fast-paced retail environments, value operational excellence, and are passionate about coaching teams, building culture, and developing long-term cannabis retail careers. Benefits & Perks Competitive salary Health, dental, and vision insurance Employer contribution toward benefits Supplemental insurance options, including accident and disability coverage Paid time off (PTO) Sick Leave (HWA Compliant) 30% employee discount on products and merchandise Ongoing leadership training and professional development Opportunities for advancement and multi-store leadership growth Supportive workplace culture with professional HR and operational infrastructure Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Recruit, train, coach, and develop Budtenders, Leads, and Assistant Managers Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented workplace culture Support employee development, performance management, and operational consistency Lead by example through professionalism, communication, and customer service excellence Conduct team meetings, coaching sessions, and leadership development conversations Customer Experience & Sales Leadership Ensure a welcoming, educational, and customer-focused dispensary environment Support sales performance, customer retention, and loyalty initiatives Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively Monitor store performance and identify opportunities to improve customer experience and operational results Help drive store sales goals and team accountability Operations & Compliance Oversee daily dispensary operations including opening and closing procedures Ensure compliance with all New Mexico cannabis regulations and company SOPs Support inventory management, audits, cash handling, and operational reporting Maintain accurate documentation and operational organization Ensure compliance, safety, sanitation, and loss prevention standards are consistently followed Inventory & Financial Oversight Monitor inventory levels and product accuracy Coordinate inventory audits and operational reporting Support labor management and operational budgeting goals Analyze sales trends and operational data to improve store performance Team Collaboration & Company Culture Collaborate with leadership, HR, and operations teams Participate in company initiatives, leadership meetings, and operational projects Help maintain a respectful, inclusive, and professional workplace culture Support ongoing company growth and operational excellence initiatives Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age High school diploma or equivalent required 3-5 years of retail management experience preferred Cannabis industry leadership experience strongly preferred Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills Knowledge of cannabis products, retail operations, and customer service standards Understanding of New Mexico cannabis regulations and compliance expectations Experience with POS systems, inventory management, scheduling, and reporting Ability to multitask and lead effectively in a fast-paced retail environment Professional, organized, and solution-oriented mindset Growth & Development Opportunities Urban Wellness is committed to promoting from within whenever possible.
