Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Dispensary Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to lead our retail dispensary operations with energy and enthusiasm. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily store activities, manage staff, ensure excellent customer service, and drive sales growth. Your leadership will foster a positive team environment, uphold compliance standards, and optimize inventory management to deliver an exceptional shopping experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader passionate about retail management and the evolving cannabis industry. Duties Supervise daily dispensary operations, including sales, inventory control, and customer service excellence Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management Manage shift schedules to ensure optimal coverage and smooth store flow Oversee purchasing, stock replenishment, merchandising, and pricing strategies to maximize profitability Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to dispensary operations Handle cash transactions, POS (Point of Sale) systems, cash handling procedures, and payroll processing Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviews for new hires, and ongoing training programs Monitor inventory levels meticulously to prevent shortages or overstocking while maintaining accurate bookkeeping records Implement marketing initiatives to attract new customers and retain existing clients Maintain excellent communication with staff and customers to foster a welcoming environment Requirements Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within a grocery store or similar retail setting Strong leadership skills with demonstrated supervising and team management experience Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS technology, and retail math calculations Knowledge of customer service best practices and cashiering procedures Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately and efficiently Organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping and stock control processes Demonstrated ability to train staff effectively and develop their skills for growth opportunities Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are preferred to serve diverse customer bases
