Job Description

The Store Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a single convenience store location, ensuring exceptional customer service, operational efficiency, and achievement of store sales goals. Reporting to the Territory Manager, the Store Manager will manage store staff, oversee inventory, control costs, and maintain a positive shopping experience for all customers. This role is crucial for upholding the brand's standards and contributing to the overall success of the territory and region.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Store Operations Oversee and manage all daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash management, and shift scheduling. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store to ensure a positive customer experience. Monitor inventory levels, complete regular stock checks, and work with suppliers to ensure product availability. Sales & Financial Management Drive store sales by setting and achieving weekly and monthly sales targets. Manage store expenses to align with budgeted goals, minimizing costs and maximizing profitability. Track and analyze store financial data, including sales, expenses, and profit margins, to inform business decisions and identify areas for improvement. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, hire, train, and develop store employees, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellent customer service. Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to staff, addressing performance issues as needed. Schedule and manage staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage while controlling labor costs. Customer Experience Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing customer needs, handling complaints, and ensuring a welcoming store environment. Implement company-wide customer service initiatives, training staff to exceed customer expectations. Actively engage with customers and encourage feedback to continuously improve the shopping experience. Compliance & Safety Ensure store compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, including health and safety, sanitation, and security protocols. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and resolve compliance issues proactively. Promote a safe work environment by training staff on safety protocols and addressing safety concerns promptly. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with the Territory Manager to set goals, share store performance updates, and align with broader company initiatives. Communicate key updates, policies, and initiatives to the store team effectively and ensure their understanding and adherence. Provide feedback to the Territory Manager on store operations, staffing needs, and customer trends.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in retail or convenience store management, with experience supervising staff.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership and communication skills. Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities. Financial understanding, with experience in budget management and sales tracking. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities. Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.
