Role:
Are you a natural leader with high energy and a passion for customer service? We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Operations Manager to step up and lead our team at VR Adventures and Cookie Dough Lightful! In this role, you will split your time between operating thrilling virtual reality rides, serving up delicious treats, and taking charge of the floor during your shift. As an extension of the GM and AGM, you won't just be behind a register, you will be the face of the fun and the backbone of our daily operations. You will lead by example, guiding 1-2 co-workers, and ensuring our guests have a safe, clean, and unforgettable experience.

What You'll Do:
Lead & Coach by
Example:
Direct and motivate a small team of 1-2 co-workers during your shift, keeping morale and energy high. Teach new employees the ins and outs of business operations and best practices.
Operational Excellence:
Act as the primary Keyholder, responsible for opening and/or closing the kiosk and VR store. Ensure all staff are following company policies, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures to a high standard.
Equipment Maintenance:
Take ownership of morning setups, including the hands-on daily maintenance and mechanical preparation of the outdoor cotton candy machine and the cookie dough bus.
Shift Accountability:
Monitor staff performance and ensure strict adherence to safety and customer service standards. You must be comfortable issuing documented coaching or disciplinary write-ups when staff engage in unsafe or inappropriate conduct.
Engage & Sell:
Actively greet all potential customers, describe our offerings in detail, and confidently upsell our products and experiences.
Operate & Serve:
Process transactions accurately using our Square POS system and handle any customer service escalations or refunds professionally. Maintain Safety & Keep it
Sparkling:
Ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff during VR rides and food service at all times. Oversee and assist with maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. This includes cleaning floors, fixtures, and windows, as well as sanitizing all surfaces, food containers, utensils, and VR headsets.
Stock & Prep:
Manage the restocking of all consumables and food products, strictly enforcing FIFO (First-In, First-Out) food safety practices among the team.
What We're Looking For:
Leadership Skills:
Previous experience in a supervisory, keyholder, or team lead role is highly preferred. You must be comfortable directing others and taking accountability for the shift.
Personality:
Highly engaging, approachable, and comfortable initiating conversations with potential customers and coaching staff.
Certification:
Must possess a valid Southern Nevada Health District Food Handlers Card.
Requirements:
Must be willing to undergo a background check.
Key Requirements & Availability:
Because these roles are fast-paced and require independent leadership, we want to make sure this is the perfect fit before scheduling an interview. We are looking to schedule 5 shifts per week (approximately 7-hour shifts, totaling ~35 hours), with a possible 6th day if needed. Please confirm that you are comfortable with the following:
Weekend Availability:
You have open availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Shift Windows:
You are available to be scheduled for day shifts (within the 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM window) or evening shifts (within the 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, or later, window).
On-Call Agility:
You are comfortable covering last-minute call-outs from staff to ensure the GM and AGM have reliable shift coverage.
Physical Stamina:
You are fully capable of standing and moving for your entire shift (up to 8 hours).
Pay:
$18.00 per hour
