As we continue to expand our commercial footprint, we are seeking a seasoned HVAC Service Manager who pairs elite technical diagnostic skills with the leadership presence required to mentor a high-performing team. The Role We aren't looking for a "desk manager." We need a technical powerhouse who has spent years in the field and speaks the language of complex commercial systems. You will lead a team of 10+ technicians, serving as the ultimate escalation point for troubleshooting while driving the operational success of the service department. UA members encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Troubleshooting:
Act as the primary technical resource for the field. You will diagnose complex issues in RTUs, boilers, and VRF systems that others can't solve.
Team Management:
Direct, mentor, and evaluate a team of 10+ HVAC technicians. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning.
Operational Oversight:
Manage the daily service schedule, ensure high-quality workmanship, and oversee the completion of service reports and digital work orders. (Buildops)
Training & Development:
Identify skill gaps within the team and provide the training needed.
Customer Relations:
Interface with commercial clients to explain technical diagnoses, provide repair estimates, and ensure long-term satisfaction.
Quality Control:
Perform random site inspections to ensure MLP's standards for safety and installation/repair quality are being met.
Qualifications & Skills Field Experience:
Minimum of 10 years in commercial HVAC service, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or lead technician role.
Diagnostic Mastery:
Expert-level knowledge of commercial mechanical systems, including air-side and water-side troubleshooting, BAS/controls, and electrical schematics.
Leadership Ability:
Proven track record of managing a team of 10+ people. You know how to motivate different personalities and handle conflict professionally.
Licensing:
Valid EPA Universal Certification required.
Communication:
Ability to translate complex mechanical issues into clear language for clients and stakeholders.
Tech-Savvy:
Proficient in service management software (Buildops, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
