The Retail Manager oversees the spa's retail operations and staff, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for every guest from the moment they enter Spa Mirbeau. This role collaborates closely with Mirbeau's Corporate Retail Buyer to maintain an up-to-date and thoughtfully curated selection of products for both retail sales and spa treatment use. In addition, the Retail Manager is responsible for retail ordering, inventory management, and merchandising of the boutique, serving as a knowledgeable and approachable point of contact for guests seeking information or recommendations about our products.
Pay Rate:
$24-$25 per hour, plus commission
Job Responsibilities:
Guest Experience & Service Excellence Serve as a welcoming and knowledgeable first point of contact for spa guests, providing exceptional service and professionalism Maintain current knowledge of all spa offerings, including services, amenities, facilities, membership, and wellness programs Assist with giving spa tours and promoting Mirbeau memberships to prospective guests Ensure the front desk, boutique, and spa reception areas remain clean, organized, and inviting at all times Assist with processing guest payments and billing adjustments accurately and efficiently Engage with guests and staff to uphold Mirbeau and Forbes standards of excellence Respond promptly and thoughtfully to guest concerns, opportunities, or requests, ensuring appropriate follow-up Operations & Retail Management Collaborate with Mirbeau's Corporate Retail Buyer to maintain a current, on-brand product collection for retail and spa use Manage ordering, receiving, labeling, and merchandising of all retail products and boutique inventory Conduct regular and month-end inventory counts of retail products, guest amenities, and operational supplies Track and report stock levels, sales trends, and reorder needs to ensure optimal inventory levels and minimize shortages Oversee retail sales goals, incentives, promotions, and boutique events, analyzing performance and profitability Provide ongoing product knowledge training to staff to enhance guest engagement and drive sales Maintain strong relationships with vendors and corporate partners to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment Uphold all Mirbeau and HR policies, procedures, and service standards Perform additional duties and handle special projects as assigned Leadership & Collaboration Oversee and support the Spa staff teams Schedule spa desk and retail staff using tracking tools and time-off requests to align staffing levels with business demands Provide training and ongoing coaching to new and current employees on Mirbeau and Forbes standards, policies, and procedures Offer constructive feedback, mentorship, and corrective action to promote performance, accountability, and staff growth Foster open communication, teamwork, and collaboration across all spa and property departments
Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements:
Education & Experience Associate's degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred Experience in guest services and/or hospitality required; experience in a spa, wellness, or luxury environment is a plus Professional Skills Exceptional guest service skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver personalized, high-quality guest experiences Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage professionally and effectively with guests, staff, and management Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent follow-through and time management abilities Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt seamlessly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Strong computer proficiency, including Windows-based programs and general administrative systems Personal Attributes Polished, professional appearance and pleasant demeanor consistent with Mirbeau and Forbes standards Calm, composed, and empathetic approach when addressing guest concerns, employee relations, or high-pressure situations Flexible availability to meet the needs of the operation, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays Dependable, proactive, and enthusiastic team player with a genuine passion for hospitality and wellness
