Role Description The Dispensary Supervisor is a part-time, on-site role based in Queens, NY, responsible for overseeing daily dispensary floor operations and ensuring a welcoming, compliant, and efficient environment. This role includes supervising dispensary staff, supporting scheduling, monitoring attendance, and assisting with training on products, processes, and customer service standards. The Dispensary Supervisor helps guide guests through product selections, answers questions about CBD and THC offerings, and ensures accurate, compliant transactions at the point of sale. Daily tasks include overseeing inventory handling, monitoring product displays, assisting with stocking and counts, and maintaining cleanliness and organization across the sales floor and back-of-house areas. The role also supports adherence to all state and local cannabis regulations, follows store policies and security protocols, and escalates operational or customer issues to management as needed. Qualifications Customer service and retail supervision skills, including the ability to lead by example, resolve issues calmly, and support a positive guest experience. Retail experience is must looking for a minimum of 2 years. Basic inventory and point-of-sale skills, including handling cash accurately, tracking stock, and following procedures for product intake and reconciliation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests, team members, and management in a fast-paced environment. Ability to learn and convey product knowledge, including CBD and THC product types, formats, and responsible-use guidance. Familiarity with or willingness to learn cannabis regulations, compliance requirements, and stringent ID verification processes. Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple tasks, shifts, and priorities during busy store hours. Comfort working on-site in a retail setting, including standing for extended periods and performing light physical tasks such as stocking and organizing. Previous experience in cannabis, pharmacy, wellness, or regulated retail environments is preferred but not required. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in retail management, hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
