Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and energetic Garden Center Manager to lead our Garden Center team at Sheiyah Market. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, scheduling, merchandising, inventory management, seasonal displays, and customer service while creating an inviting shopping experience for our guests. The ideal candidate is passionate about leadership, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, and enjoys developing a strong team culture centered around excellence and hospitality. Duties Oversee daily Garden Center operations to ensure a clean, organized, and well-stocked department. Lead and support team members through coaching, scheduling, training, and performance management. Maintain attractive seasonal displays and merchandising presentations that drive sales and enhance the guest experience. Manage inventory levels, purchasing, pricing, and product flow to minimize shrink and maximize turns. Ensure proper care and maintenance of plants, outdoor merchandise, and seasonal products. Monitor department sales, margins, labor, and overall financial performance to meet company goals. Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting guests with product knowledge, recommendations, and issue resolution. Coordinate with buyers and leadership to execute seasonal transitions, promotions, and special events. Maintain safety, cleanliness, and operational standards throughout the department and outdoor areas. Assist with interviewing and hiring team members who align with Sheiyah Market's culture and values. Requirements Previous retail management, garden center, greenhouse, nursery, landscaping, or related leadership experience preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced, seasonal retail environment while managing multiple priorities. Experience with inventory management, merchandising, and operational planning. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift, move, and carry merchandise as needed. Flexible availability, including some evenings, weekends, and peak seasonal periods. Passion for customer service, teamwork, and creating an exceptional guest experience.
Pay:
$17.00 - $23.00 per hour
