Operations Lead Trainee

We are looking for a dependable, customer-focused team member to join our UPS Store team as an Operations Lead Trainee . This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping customers, staying organized, learning new skills, and becoming a key part of daily store operations. This role is ideal for someone who has retail, customer service, office, shipping, or print experience and is interested in growing into a trusted operations support role. The position is task-focused and does not include formal staff supervision or disciplinary authority. We are also looking for someone willing to become a commissioned notary . The company will pay for the required notary-related costs and training. What You'll Do As an Operations Lead Trainee, you will learn and support the daily flow of the store, including: Greeting customers and providing friendly, professional service Assisting with shipping, packing, mailbox services, printing, scanning, faxing, laminating, and other business services Helping customers understand service options, pricing, turnaround times, and store procedures Supporting opening and closing tasks, daily checklists, stocking, store organization, and overall store readiness Processing customer transactions accurately through the POS system Assisting with package intake, labeling, weighing, and shipment accuracy Supporting print intake by gathering job details, reviewing basic file needs, and helping customers understand available options Helping maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment Learning how to assist with notary services once commissioned Escalating customer concerns, policy questions, or unusual situations to management when needed What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Dependable, punctual, and able to follow through on assigned tasks Friendly, professional, and comfortable working with customers Organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment Comfortable using computers, printers, copiers, POS systems, and office equipment Willing to learn shipping, mailbox, print, and notary procedures Able to communicate clearly and handle customer concerns professionally Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. Interested in growing into a stronger operational role over time Preferred Experience Retail, customer service, office, shipping, or print experience preferred Prior UPS Store, FedEx Office, office services, banking, administrative, or retail experience is a plus High school diploma or GED preferred Notary Opportunity This position requires the ability and willingness to become a commissioned notary. The company will pay for eligible notary-related costs and provide guidance through the process. Once commissioned, you will be trained to assist customers with notary services according to store procedures and state requirements. Why Join Us?
