The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong ability to engage with customers in a retail environment. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience, assisting customers with their needs, and contributing to the overall success of our store. Duties Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their inquiries. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for cash handling and processing transactions. Maintain knowledge of products to effectively assist customers and promote sales. Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations as needed. Ensure the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing. Assist in supervising junior staff members, providing guidance and support as necessary. Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally. Participate in inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting inventory counts. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers. Proficiency in cash handling and retail math, ensuring accuracy in transactions. Basic math skills to assist with pricing, discounts, and change calculations. Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone is a plus. Experience supervising or mentoring others is advantageous but not mandatory.
