(Part-time) Summer Camp Site Manager City of Grove City

Qualifications:
At least 18 years of age and has a high school diploma or equivalent. Must maintain reliable and punctual attendance. Has proven ability in oral and written communications. Has the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with public officials, civic leaders and the public in general. Has the ability to follow direction, provide necessary services, and enforce stated rules and regulations. Has the ability to direct, train, coordinate, schedule and evaluate the performance of others. Has the ability to plan and provide appropriate school age activities and have a basic understanding of child development and group management. Can remain physically active (stand, walk, crouch, kneel, bend, play games) with children for three or more hours in varying weather conditions. Experience with school aged children preferred. College degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development, Education, Recreation, or another related field preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license and maintain insurability under the City's vehicle insurance policy. The City of Grove City is a Drug Free Workplace. All candidates who receive an offer of employment will be required to undergo testing for commonly used drugs, including marijuana.Details:

- Richard Avenue Elementary School, Monterey Elementary School, or Brookpark (formerly Brookpark Middle School) Essential Functions of the Position The Summer Camp Site Manager, under the supervision of the Youth Development Recreation Coordinator, shall: Represent the Grove City Parks and Recreation Department and Youth Development programs in a positive, professional, and courteous manner at all times.

Minimum Acceptable Characteristics, Licensure and/or Certification At least 18 years old and a high school diploma (or equivalent). Must commit to working all of the summer programming (5 days of unpaid vacation is allowed). (- indicates developed after employment)
Knowledge of:
