Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Door Shop Supervisor, where you will lead and oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing and fabrication facility dedicated to custom door production. This role is vital in ensuring that our door manufacturing process runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. As a supervisor, you will coordinate team activities, manage materials handling, and uphold high standards of craftsmanship and quality. Your leadership will drive productivity, foster a collaborative environment, and ensure timely delivery of premium doors to our clients. Duties Supervise daily operations within the door shop, ensuring production goals are met with precision and efficiency Coordinate the assembly, fabrication, and finishing of doors using hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment Manage materials handling processes, including loading, unloading, storage, and inventory control of raw materials and finished products Lead and motivate a team of skilled workers, providing training on safety protocols, tool usage, and manufacturing techniques Ensure adherence to safety standards by conducting regular inspections and enforcing proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Oversee the operation of forklifts and other warehouse equipment to facilitate smooth movement of materials Maintain accurate production records, quality control documentation, and shift reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement Experience Proven experience in manufacturing or millwork environments with a focus on doors or similar products Strong mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes, machining, carpentry, and assembly techniques Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, and materials handling machinery such as forklifts Familiarity with construction principles and warehouse operations is highly desirable Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred Knowledge of safety regulations related to industrial fabrication environments Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and effectively to minimize downtime Join us in shaping high-quality doors while leading a dedicated team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
