JOB SUMMARY
Oversee and coordinate personnel engaged in the design and/or drafting of detailed drawings. This includes coordinating drafting resources in support of other departments, including but not limited to Engineering, Fabrication, Purchasing, Sales, Aftermarket Parts & Services, VEO sub-suppliers as well as new product development.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Interprets job requests and assigns duties to CAD operators and document control personnel to complete the work on a timely basis. Structures department to ensure drawing and details are checked properly to eliminate errors and omissions. Generates a task schedule (drawings and data) for each project which supports the delivery of equipment based on fabrication and material lead-time. Evaluates department capacity to complete the workload and publishes a capacity loading schedule on a biweekly basis. Establishes or adjusts schedules with other departments to meet deadlines, and to avoid delays in component procurement and fabrication. Determines and directs material to be used based on the approval of the assigned engineer(s) on the project and ensures that the drafting department receives all information necessary to make detailed drawings and/or designs clear and complete. Supervises the delivery of all pertinent drawings, data, and information to other departments. Assists in troubleshooting and resolving shop fabrication or job site problems; this requires determining the cause of the problem and the means to prevent or minimize the possibility of a reoccurrence. Assists engineering with the layout and design of new equipment or equipment modifications. Works with HR to interview and hire new personnel, train and evaluate existing personnel, and make recommendations for promotions or disciplinary actions.OTHER JOB DUTIES

Strong knowledge of SolidWorks and Inventor, MS Word and Excel. Minimum 5 years' experience with ASME Section I boilers and pressure vessels is desired. Minimum 5 years' experience with pressure vessels, power piping, ducting, structural support steel, and/or platforms are required. Must be motivated, flexible, and willing to adapt to changing schedules and demands. Good written and verbal skills are required. An associate's degree in drafting or a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering #INDHP Pay:
