Job Description

Company Overview Grants Pass Clinic is a primary care clinic in Grants Pass, offering comprehensive services including internal medicine, family practice, pediatrics, general surgery, and podiatry. Our patients benefit from in-house laboratory and radiology services, ensuring integrated and efficient healthcare delivery. Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Patient Care Department Supervisor to lead our clinical team. The ideal candidate will possess prior supervisory experience along with experience in a healthcare setting. As a key leader within our organization, you will oversee patient care operations, ensure compliance with healthcare standards, and foster a collaborative team environment focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes. Duties Maintains strictest confidentiality of patient and business information. Adheres to all HIPAA privacy and security requirements and regulations. Complies with the Clinic's Code of Conduct and professional expectations, which requires employees to act responsibly, honestly, legally, confidentially, and within ethical and professional conduct standards. Responsible for managing the human resources of the department. This includes interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, assignment of work duties, and when necessary disciplines and recommends termination. Interacts with Human Resources for new employee pay wages and start dates, along with resolving complex employee relations problems. Evaluates the performance of department staff by monitoring individual work performance and obtaining feedback from patients, providers, and other personnel in order to accurately evaluate employees. Works in collaboration with other departments when necessary. Monitors daily operating activity of the department such as workload, staff productivity and related matters, and prepares various staffing schedules and prepares reports in order to effectively utilize department resources. Responsible for maintaining properly operating medical equipment and instruments. Review and evaluate requests by pharmaceutical and other medical vendors to place or distribute information about their product in the clinic. Oversee stock medications - track use and outdates; monitor narcotic drawer Update medications in Emergency Kit Interaction with contracted suppliers and local pharmacies Oversee AED (education, use, maintenance) Interface with patients, families, and outside organizations in order to meet objectives defined by the Clinic and/or programs the Clinic participates in. These duties are performed at the direction of the Director of Clinical Operations and include being responsible for the Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) program. Attends mandatory annual Compliance, Safety, and HIPAA Privacy and Security Training. Attends various scheduled Clinic committee meetings as directed by the CEO. Works cooperatively and collaboratively with all other individuals employed by Grants Pass Clinic to fulfill the mission of providing high quality health care to patients with compassion, integrity, and professionalism. Qualifications Proven supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership skills in healthcare settings. Strong knowledge of medical terminology. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and proficiency in medical documentation is essential. Experience working with diverse patient populations. Knowledge of infection control practices. Certification in basic life support (BLS) or advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS). Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team effectively while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. $62,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
