Job Summary:
Full-Time Produce Manager $21.50
  • $26.
50 per hour Permanent Position 40 hours per week on average Health, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insurance 401K Retirement Package with up to 4% employer match Paid Vacation and Personal Time Training and Scholarships up to $1,000 per term Premium Pay increase of .50¢/hour for all eligible employees working any hours on Saturday-Sunday, and weekdays before 6 am, or after 7 pm
Requirements:
Pass a criminal background check. Perform and oversee work in the areas of
  • Customer Service, first and foremost
  • Plan, direct and coordinate daily operations of the Produce Department
  • Meet sales, gross, and labor goals
  • Department scheduling and time card approval
  • Staff orientation and training
  • Workplace safety
  • Basic maintenance and repairs Essential Job Functions
  • Oversee activities directly relating to customer service, department production, pricing, and sales
  • Review staff performance and goal achievements to determine areas needing improvement
  • Manage staff, oversee work schedules, and assign specific duties
  • Establish and implement various departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures
  • Communicate issues with subordinates and superiors as necessary
  • Determine staffing requirements and training of new employees
  • Work with other managers in planning and directing promotional activities
  • Oversee Workplace safety in the Produce Department
  • Knowledge of departmental mechanical systems, monitoring and basic maintenance of equipment
  • Work products from stockroom to sales floor, filling shelves, end-bases, and aisle stacks
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, order tags as needed.
  • Clean display cases, shelves, and aisles.
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Keep aisles and end-bases clean and faced.
  • Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom workers.
  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment. Requirements
