Job Description

There is an increased demand for used cars and at Brown-Daub Dodge we are looking for a sharp, driven Used Car Manager who knows how to change inventory into profit and opportunities into results.
JOB SUMMARY
It is the responsibility of this position to assist the other Managers in planning, organizing, and controlling the activities of the used car sales departments and in measuring the performance of the employees in the department.
RESPONSIBLITIES
Responsible for the retail sale and acquisition of pre-owned vehicles. Maintain Desk and Control Procedure as outlined in the Control Management Procedure Manual, including: Ensure that every Opportunity to do Business (OTDB) is personally thanked before they leave. Ensure every OTDB is logged properly Ensure every unsold OTDB is contacted by a member of the management staff within 24 hours Ensure every sold OTDB is contacted by a Salesperson and Team Leader within 72 hours Hire, train, motivate, counsel and monitor the performance of all department employees. Conduct daily one-on-one conferences with each Salesperson for training and follow-up. Ensure Team Leaders follow-up on new cars sold to customers on a weekly basis. Forecast monthly goals and objectives for Salespeople, including sales and gross, and track on a daily basis. Provide support to meet the goals set. Conduct daily and weekly sales training meetings. Maintain teamwork in a customer-focused sales environment throughout the sales, delivery, and follow-up process. Oversee the efforts of new-vehicle salespeople to enhance the image and customer satisfaction ratings of the dealership. Work with salespeople on programs that will increase the new-car gross and F&I penetration. Communicate and ensure that Salespeople understand and follow dealership policies and procedures. Perform inventory walks with Salespeople daily to ensure everyone knows the new and used inventory. Perform monthly inspection of dealer plates. Keep up-to-date on and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect new-vehicle sales. Demonstrate and maintain a professional and positive attitude in the dealership at all times. Direct and schedule the activities of all department employees, ensuring proper staffing at all times. Help salespeople close deals when necessary. Provide dealer with accurate floor traffic control data on a daily basis. Process salesperson commission sheets and monitor payroll records of Salespeople. Attend Manager's meetings as requested. Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
Two (2) years' Sales and Management experience required. Valid State Sales and Driver's License Excellent verbal/written, interpersonal and customer communication skills. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Maintain a clean and neat work space and uphold Brown-Daub standards at all times. Professional and well-dressed appearance.
