Job Description
Parlor Doughnuts Shop Manager Overview:
The Shop Manager is a leader who exemplifies Parlor values and upholds all standards and policies. The Shop Manager is responsible for developing staff, managing day-to-day operations, establishing a productive and efficient work atmosphere, and meeting operational targets. The Shop Manager should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker. They are expected to help their team develop professionally while ensuring shop sustainability.Reports to:
Franchise Owner Supervises:
Team Leaders and Store Team Members Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Cultivate Parlor's mission and values. 2. Oversee day-to-day operations and ensure excellence, cleanliness, and quality. 3. Serve as point of contact with corporate staff and maintain lines of communication. 4. Ensure training/development in accord with Parlor standards. 5. Ensure all employment-related forms are completed on a timely basis. 6. Lead and manage employees, including regular meetings/communication. 7. Safeguard equipment, facility, and promote a welcoming environment. 8. Manage shop to meet goals/targets, inventory, and control waste/loss. 9. Maintain a working knowledge of every area of the business: barista, den, kitchen, and front of house. 10. Ensure staff follows all policies and procedures, most importantly health and safety regulations. 11. Provide solutions to issues and seek opportunities for improvement. 12. Participate in ordering supplies needed from approved vendors. 13. Create and foster a working team environment. 14. Set and maintain professional standards within the workplace. 15. Help resolve conflicts and respond to team member's concerns. 16. Address customers concerns promptly with Parlor values and standards.Qualifications:
1. Leadership 2. Interpersonal skills 3. Ability to organize others and business processes 4. Attention to detail 5. Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment 6. Physical stamina to withstand a full shift - you will be on your feet for long hoursEducation and Experience:
1. Practical experience in food service operations 2. Must obtain/maintain ServSafe® Manager certification 3. Prefer knowledge or certification in kitchen emergencies (First Aid, CPR, Fires) 4. Customer service experienceGrowth Path:
Parlor Doughnuts is a growing franchise, new to the area, and the Shop Manager would have the opportunity to help shape the culture of this young business. Parlor Doughnuts offers competitive compensation, and we are willing to consider a performance-related bonus after an initial review period, typically six months and subject to meeting shop and individual performance goals.Other:
