About Us Perfect Pooch, a trusted, locally-owned name in pet care since 2003, is looking for an energetic and organized working Dog Daycare Supervisor, internally referred to as Shift Leader, to be the operational backbone of our "camp". This is a crucial, full-time role with a combined focus, managing the health and safety of the dogs in our play areas as well as servicing each customer. We need a leader who can maintain accountability and organisation in a fast-paced environment, keeping both our staff and all our pups safe and happy. About the Role The Dog Daycare Supervisor maintains accountability and safety across our entire facility. This is an operationally intense, hands-on position requiring you to be on your feet for long periods of time. You must be able to handle dogs of all breeds and sizes. You must be able to lift up to 40 lbs on your own. Multi-tasking, organizational skills, and critical thinking in a busy environment are essential. Responsibilities As a Shift Leader, you will demonstrate symbolic leadership as well as outstanding internal and external customer service. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Team Leadership & Training:
Supervise and provide guidance and direction to both Daycare and Front End staff, setting and monitoring performance standards.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all staff follow proper safety procedures by monitoring compliance with OSHA, DEA, FDA, and Bio-Medical requirements.
Operational Flow:
Oversee the proper housekeeping for all areas, observe and report any repairs and maintenance, and ensure the facility runs smoothly.
Customer Service & Sales:
Uphold the highest level of customer service, accurately invoice client purchases, and be the liaison between staff and clients.
Animal Care:
Maintain animal incident records and perform all tasks assigned to both Front End and Daycare staff, including cleaning runs and play areas.
Emergency & Coverage:
Handle emergencies of any kind, delegate tasks to staff members, and make efforts to cover shifts if staff are absent. Ideal Candidate You are the definition of a dependable and prompt leader who is focused on achieving goals efficiently and keeping your team organized. Must have 2 years of supervisory experience. You genuinely love dogs and feel passionate about providing them with a safe, fun, and stimulating environment. You are operationally minded and capable of producing high-quality work in both customer service and animal care. You enjoy planning, communicating, and driving the execution of work tasks for a diverse team (Daycare and Front End). You are a clear communicator, able to resolve employee complaints and mediate interpersonal problems effectively. You are careful, helpful, and cooperative—someone who takes safety and organizational tasks seriously. Required to work one weekend shift (7:00 AM-6:00 PM) and holidays. Be willing and able to complete our E-learning platform modules (training is continuous). Schedule Weekdays (M-F): 6:30 AM-2:00 PM or 12:45 PM-7:00 PM. Weekends (Sat & Sun): 7:00 AM-6:00 PM.
Schedule Requirement:
This position will require a consistent weekly schedule of 2 morning shifts, 2 evening shifts, and 1 weekend shift. Compensation & Benefits We believe in rewarding our dedicated leaders who work hard to enrich the lives of pups. Competitive hourly wage of $17 per hour We recognize commitment and operational excellence quickly: up to a $2.00 per hour promotional base rate increase is awarded following a successful 90-day introductory period and completed training of said position. $2880 per month
