Job Description

Large retail organizations has an opening for a Full-Time Store Manager. The Store Manager is responsible for performing duties as directed by the Operational Management for the successful operation of their designated store. The Store Manager's primary responsibility is to ensure that all customers' are provided with the highest quality products along with the highest in customer service. It is essential that as the Store Manager you present yourself in a professional and courteous manner at all times while performing your defined responsibilities. Store Manager is responsible for the complete day-to-day operation of the store. Other duties may be assigned as required, depending upon the available time, business volume and other criteria as determined by your appropriate Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
The Store Manager directly oversees and manages all departments and personnel within the physical store location. Responsible for maximizing store sales and profitability, along with managing expenses while ensuring that the store is optimally stocked and merchandised and that all customers are provided with excellent customer service. Contribute to the growth and development of the management team and store associates. responsible for enforcing and maintaining our high standards of Customer Service Maintain consistent and direct communication with Department Managers on a day-to-day basis and conduct weekly Department Manager meetings to review store promotions, merchandising, schedules, sales trends, potential/existing problems and their potential solutions. Maintain a regular physical presence in each department to monitor, control and eliminate customer service and/or employee issues. Maintain a competent knowledge of all department policies/procedures. Monitor and walk departments reviewing overall sanitation, general presentation, product stock levels and that sale items are available. Monitor and enforce manager compliance of their Department. Review and oversee all department supply levels and ensure that they are organized and appealing to the customer. Monitor and maintain knowledge of receiving procedures as it relates to processing of packing slips and invoices, while performing periodic "spot checks" to verify product counts. Full compliance with all policies and regulations to ensure that your company expectations and requirements are met. Hire, train, and develop retail staff with goals for growth and success in their positions, provide performance feedback and recognize accomplishments. Coordinate the overall supervision of staff to ensure sales performance goals are met and procedures are followed accurately. Regulate store inventory to reduce shrinkage, maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure inventory accuracy. Direct the shipping, receiving, and inventory flow for the store. Forecast scheduling needs to meet customer demand and create work schedules Delegate daily workload among associates to meet merchandising and visual presentation standards Enforce safety policies and procedures Maintain and communicate awareness of local competition and its effects on your designated store or on the organization as a whole. Other duties may be assigned.
Job Requirements :
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent. Minimum 4-5 years of prior Retail Management experience Employee must regularly move and/or lift 50lbs Valid and unrestricted Driver's License Must be 18 years of age or older. Ability to hear, speak, and understand the spoken word. Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language. Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest and percentages. While performing the duties, the employee is regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance.
