Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee our Somerset Builder's Supply store located in Somerset, PA. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of inventory management, purchasing, and team management. This role is critical in ensuring that our supply processes run smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our organization. Duties Manage and coordinate all supply chain activities, including purchasing, inventory control, and logistics. Supervise daily operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintain accurate inventory records and implement effective inventory management practices. Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems for tracking sales and inventory levels. Collaborate with various departments to forecast demand and manage stock levels effectively. Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained throughout the supply chain process. Prepare reports on supply chain performance metrics for senior management review. Skills Expertise in inventory management, control, and retail sales operations. Demonstrated supervisory experience with effective team management capabilities. Knowledge of retail math, pricing strategies, merchandising techniques, and marketing principles. Strong organizational skills with a focus on time management and administrative tasks. Familiarity with cashiering processes, cash handling procedures, and customer service excellence. Required Prior experience in decorative concrete, concrete materials, and masonry materials. Forklift experience. Able to haul small dump truck deliveries. Able to lift up to 90-100 pounds.
