Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Used Car Sales Manager to lead our pre-owned vehicle & Powersports department with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of used vehicle sales, inventory management, and customer relations, ensuring a seamless and engaging buying experience. Responsibilities Lead and motivate the used car sales team to achieve monthly sales targets and maximize profitability. Manage inventory control by overseeing vehicle acquisition, pricing strategies, and turnover rates to optimize stock levels. Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract potential buyers through various channels including online platforms and local outreach. Conduct high-end sales negotiations with customers, ensuring a positive experience while meeting dealership objectives. Utilize CRM software to track customer interactions, sales pipeline progress, and follow-up activities to enhance customer engagement. Support outbound sales efforts through cold calling, B2B (business-to-business) outreach, and public speaking engagements at community events or auto shows. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Upsell additional products such as warranties or accessories to increase revenue per sale while maintaining customer satisfaction. Oversee dealership compliance with inventory management standards and retail math principles to ensure accurate financial reporting. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns that boost retail sales and enhance brand visibility. Experience Proven experience in automobile sales, preferably within a dealership environment with a focus on used vehicles. Strong background in sales management, including team leadership, coaching, and performance tracking. Demonstrated success in outside sales, B2B sales, or retail sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to build rapport with diverse clientele; multilingual abilities are a plus. Familiarity with CRM software systems for managing customer relationships and sales pipelines effectively. Knowledge of inventory control practices, automotive retail math, and marketing strategies specific to the automotive industry. Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills including public speaking capabilities; Bilingual proficiency is advantageous for reaching broader audiences.
