Position Overview:

As a Maintenance Manager/Mechanic, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our fleet of cranes, tractors, trailers and rigging equipment. You will serve as a trusted advisor/manager to our mechanics, providing expert guidance on maintenance schedules, service requirements, parts research, and performing purchase orders. Your ability to build strong vendor relationships and deliver exceptional service will contribute directly to our continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding maintenance and service inquiries. Conduct thorough assessments of equipment maintenance needs and develop tailored service plans. Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers to schedule and execute maintenance activities. Monitor equipment performance and proactively recommend preventive maintenance measures. Provide technical expertise and guidance to mechanics on equipment operation, maintenance best practices, and troubleshooting. Perform maintenance work in shop and field when necessary. Document service activities, equipment status, and maintenance histories accurately in our management system. Collaborate with operations teams to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and enhancements. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance operations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a maintenance advisory role, preferably in the crane and rigging industry or related field. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems; familiarity with hydraulic systems is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively advise and support employees. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in computer applications for documenting maintenance activities and generating reports.
