Permanent Position:
40 hours per week on average Health, dental, vision, life, and short-term disability insurance 401K Retirement Package with up to 4% employer match Paid Vacation and Personal Time Training and Scholarships up to $1,000 per term Premium Pay increase of .50¢/hour for all eligible employees working any hours on Saturday-Sunday, and weekdays before 6 am, or after 7 pm.
Position Overview:
Perform and oversee work in the areas of:
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate daily operations of the Grocery Department
  • Meet sales, gross, and labor goals
  • Department scheduling and time card approval
  • Staff recruitment, orientation, and training
  • Workplace safety
  • Basic maintenance and repairs
Essential Job Functions:
  • Oversee customer service and the customer experience
  • Direct and coordinate department production, pricing, and sales
  • Review performance data and assess goal achievement to determine areas needing improvement
  • Establish and implement departmental policies and goals
  • Communicating issues with subordinates and superiors
  • Interview and oversee the training of new employees
  • Work with other managers in planning and directing promotional activities
  • Oversee workplace safety in the
Grocery Department Requirements:
  • Previous Department Manager, Supervisor, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to pass a background check as described in the Safe Hiring Plan
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with computer systems
  • Experience using office suites in a business setting, and/or equivalent education
  • Comfort performing various monetary transactions
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly with employees, customers, and vendors
  • Strong organizational skills Other Skills/Abilities
  • Administration and Management Knowledge of business and management principles involved in planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and production methods.
  • Personnel and Human Resources ' Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment and selection.

  • Sales and Marketing ' Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
