With over 5,000 stores worldwide, we are looking for a highly skilled Assistant Store Manager to join our loving and enthusiastic team. As an Assistant Store Manager at Ace Hardware, you will have the opportunity to grow your leadership skills and contribute to a fun and active work environment.
Responsibilities:
Delegate, train, and monitor the progress of all associates Manage store sales, expenses, profits, assets, and team members' personal development Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring that all customers are acknowledged, customer needs are met, and concerns are resolved quickly Assist in the development and implementation of an in store marketing strategy including promotions, events, and seasonal merchandising based on store needs Maintain accurate inventory at all stages through on-hand integrity, daily receiving and transfers, store communication, product mix and flow, and adhering to the company best practices, metrics and deadlines
Requirements:
At least 1 year of retail management experience, experience in hardware preferred. Engage with customers and offer assistance with products and services Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently and stand/walk for up to 8 hours Ability to provide motivation and leadership to associates storewide in a fair and impartial manner High degree of analytical skills, and the ability to delegate and be self-directed Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills Technically skilled in basic retail computer systems including related software Dress according to company policy Possess a valid in-state driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company's insurance carrier's standards Obtain a forklift license to move material, unload trucks as needed.
