Summary Plans and implements sanitation activities for assigned hospital areas. Assigns and evaluates daily work of employees in assigned areas. Assists in the education and training of employees. Coordinates and implements special cleaning projects with department managers and employees. Provides reports on quality and quantity of work performed. Assists in quality assurance activities of the department. Complete an annual employee performance evaluation on assigned employees. Investigate and formulate accident reports when necessary and counsel employees when necessary. Duties and Responsibilities Able to perform work of Tech I, Tech II, Tech III and Team Leader Proficient in use of janitorial equipment/general cleaning procedures Educates assigns and evaluates daily work/special cleaning projects of employees in assigned areas. Interview for open job positions using the Target Selection interview process. Ensure safety precautions are followed, investigate and formulate accident reports when necessary, and counsel employees regarding safety hazards when necessary. Proficient in the use of digital Housekeeper and HEV software. As well as the radio/paging system Monitors employee attendance and documents concerns when necessary through UKG. Ability to understand Infection Control policies and procedures and communicate standards to staff. Communicate department activities and concerns with the Operations Manager and Director as necessary to allow open communication and smooth workflow within the department. Any other assignments as deemed necessary by the Manager.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or GED required.Preferred Qualifications:
3 to 4 years of hospital sanitation experience are highly preferred.
