Job Description
Retail Store Manager
- Specialty Retail 4.
- Create a high energy, positive environment with the staff that provides Customers with an entertaining and fun experience
- Direct and coach the staff on the best practices of the Person in Charge of the Customer experience
- Provide an exceptional customer service experience by exceeding Customer expectations and demonstrating an excellent knowledge of the products and the Wild Birds Unlimited history and heritage
- Be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store.
- Continually work towards achieving sales goals while controlling expenses.
- Demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic and professional demeanor.
- Assist the owner in maintaining adequate inventory levels
- Be responsible for inventory management in the POS including checking-in, receiving and committing merchandise and pricing updates.
- Direct the changing of displays, signing and the restocking of merchandise.
- Prepare displays, signing, staffing for upcoming promotions and events.
- Assist the owner in public relations, community talks, and store communication
- Assist the owner with the hiring, training and coaching of store associates. Follows progressive discipline steps when necessary Our Ideal Candidate will

- Is comfortable with technology
- Effectively multi-tasks numerous responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Consistently strives to increase the overall level of customer satisfaction

- Has 3+ years of Retail Management experience
- Has 3+ years of Retail Sales experience
- Has flexible availability
- This position will require weekend work on Saturdays and Sundays with some holidays required, however, no nights.
- Able to lift and carry 20 lb bags on a regular basis We handle birdseed containing nuts and other products on a daily basis.
