Role:

TEI Constructions is seeking an experienced Composite Lead Tech (PIC) to lead composite repair operations in the field. This is a 100% travel position that may include composite part fabrication at our main shop. The composites season is short; we value our composite techs and will utilize desiring talent on non-composites jobs in the off-season if the employee prefers to keep working. However, off-season work is not required if you enjoy a few months off in the winter, you can take advantage of the traditional downtime in the industry.

What You'll Do:

Lead daily "Plan of the Day" (POD) meetings with the crew. Establish a clear Emergency Action Plan (EAP) before starting work. Perform external repairs at heights and internal repairs in confined spaces. Maintain trailer inventory and order consumables in a timely manner. Communicate with site representatives and project managers about project status. Lead, motivate, and upskill reporting team members. Competently use a grinder to scarf fiberglass layers and visually identify ply layers and types of fiberglass. Properly set up 360 Platforms and 2M Baskets, including daily platform and rigging inspections. Perform quality composite repairs following RCL standards and/or written work instructions. Drive a 3/4-ton truck while towing a trailer to job sites. Prioritize safety and quality culture on every project. The company is

Looking For:

High school diploma or GED. 4+ years of composite repair experience. Valid Class C driver's license and ability to drive a 3/4-ton truck towing a trailer. Self-motivated with a high level of integrity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good foundational knowledge of safe working practices and PPE for composite repair work. Ability to work at extreme heights and in restricted spaces. English required; multilingual skills are a plus.

Required Certifications:

GWO, OSHA

10, BST, ART, CoHe, and BTT.

Note:

RCL's GWO-certified training department issues all necessary certificates annually.
